  Under the title "Ungesagtes" ("Unspoken"), the five articles and one discussion deal with aspects that one would tend to contrast with and deduct from the ideal of objectivity of science as "subjective" parts. On the one hand, it is about what the researching subject brings into the scientific work in often subtle ways: own views, emotions, values, personal beliefs.   Researchers from Die Junge Akademie are taking part in this year's SILBERSALZ science and media festival in Halle (Saale). The festival takes place from 15 - 19 September and, under the motto "Inequality", seeks answers to the question of how equity can be achieved.
  
  In the event "Pull up a Chair # 1 - Ask your questions to researchers from Die Junge Akademie", visitors can talk to Viola Priesemann (physicist) and Timo de Wolff (mathematician). How do we research the spread and containment of a virus or the flow of information in neural networks? And what questions are currently being researched in the field of algebraic mathematics? These and other questions can be discussed with our members. As opposed to classical lectures, there will be enough space and time for individual discussions.

  Die Junge Akademie is participating with several activities. Among other things, it will be represented with two booths as part of a day of action on July 2, 3-8 p.m., on the square in front of the Rotes Rathaus. At the booth "Wissen auf die Hand", representatives of Die Junge Akademie will answer all questions about research and science.
