Podcast series „wissen – handeln?“
What does engaged science look like? What are the limits of internationalisation? Current, critical and definitely exciting topics are discussed here in front of the microphone.
"wissen – handeln?" ("knowledge – action?") The podcast on internationalisation and science
How can the support for refugee academics succeed? What consequences do the increasing repression and restriction on academic freedom in authoritarian regimes have for international cooperation? How does de-globalisation affect academic careers and scientific progress?
Members of the Research Group Internationalisation are responsible for the second season of the podcast series ‘wissen - handeln?’. Together with their guests, they discuss current challenges of internationalisation in science and higher education policy.
The second season started in autumn 2024.

The podcast on engaged science
Do scientists have to get involved in public debates or political decision-making processes beyond academic discourse? If so, why is this the case and in what form can they get involved in society?
In their podcast series "wissen - handeln?", the members of Die Junge Akademie's Research Group "Engaged Science" invite scientists of high visibility to talk about their motivation and successes, but also about the challenges, dangers and limits of "engaged science".
