The Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW), the Junge Akademie and other European partners are calling on outstanding young scientists to apply to become founding members of the transnational and interdisciplinary Young Network TransEurope (YNT).

The Young Network TransEurope (YNT), initiated by the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the Junge Akademie and other partners, aims to explore the diversity of European perspectives. YNT aims to overcome geographical, cultural and scientific boundaries, bring together a wide variety of researchers from all over Europe and create space for new ideas and perspectives. Due to the war of aggression against Ukraine, the network focuses in particular on Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

The founding members are elected for a five-year term and have the unique opportunity to initiate transnational projects, expand their networks and contribute to public and political debates. Supported by renowned institutions across Europe, the YNT provides a platform for collaboration that fosters the development of new ideas and initiatives. The launch of the network is planned for October 2024 during the "Reclaiming Europe" conference in Gdańsk, Poland.

All information on the application procedure and further information on the YNT can be found in the Call for founding members of the Young Network TransEurope (PDF).

Interested researchers are asked to submit their applications by 18 April 2024. The international and interdisciplinary selection committee will ensure a diverse representation of gender, discipline and background. Successful candidates will be contacted in late spring, with interviews scheduled for early June.
