The members of the project WüstenWissen (desert knowledge) are organising a one-day workshop on rock art and rock paintings in the Sahara.

The workshop will focus on the question of how rock paintings in the Sahara document the dispersal of different animal species and thus climate changes in this region, and how this unusual data basis could be made scientifically useful.
